Join other area businesses who have benefited from the many advantages of working with an established, locally-owned and operated company that is also a nationally-recognized industry leader.
In 1995, Steve Sumner purchased the company from its founder, Randall Sumner, and developed our mission statement and core values. This marked the start of a period of rapid, positive growth and development at Thermocopy—including the 1998 opening of the Mountain Empire Branch in the Tri-Cities area, and the development of our award-winning professional IT consulting services and document scanning software division, Centriworks. In 2007, as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen our corporate commitment to be an environmentally responsible business partner, Thermocopy created a program called Greenworks, an internal initiative and resource for our customers, and GoGreenET—East Tennessee’s first comprehensive environmental resource for area businesses.
Over the past five decades, Thermocopy has been recognized as East Tennessee’s business technology leader at the local, state and national level. In recent years, imageSource Magazine, the leading information source for the document solutions channel, has awarded Thermocopy many national Perfect Image Awards, including the magazine’s most prestigious recognition, the Perfect Image Award for Dealer of the Year. Thermocopy has also received statewide recognition as a green business leader with a prestigious Keep Tennessee Beautiful Award of Excellence. We are proud that local organizations such as Keep Knoxville Beautiful and Knox County have recognized Thermocopy with environmental awards based on both internal efforts and community outreach.
Thermocopy has a rich history of community involvement, having supported nearly 100 civic organizations during our 50+ years in business, including the American Red Cross, Fort Loudon Lake Association, University of Tennessee Lady Vols, Friends of ETHRA, The Historic Tennessee Theatre, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley and many more. Thermocopy’s commitment goes beyond just donating funds—our employees have volunteered their time and talents to help charities and other organizations that benefit our community.
As we focus on our history, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for (and pride in) the talented and knowledgeable professionals who have dedicated themselves to bringing great ideas and energy to Thermocopy every single day. We’d like to name everyone individually, but let us simply say a sincere “thank you” to all our employees—you are what make Thermocopy the best.
For the past 50+ years, every new development and improvement at Thermocopy has been based on what it brings to our customers. At Thermocopy, we are committed to providing our clients with a level of excellence in customer service and support that is unmatched by any of our competitors. Our work is all about helping your businesses and organizations do what you do even better. Thank you, East Tennessee, for choosing Thermocopy for five decades. But we’re just getting started. Together, let’s make great things happen during the next fifty years…
