Congratulations to one of our Thermocopy customers — Lenoir City Utilities Board — who are celebrating the opening of their new corporate offices at 7698 Creekwood Park. The new facilities are over 180,000 square feet, featuring a two-story, state-of-the-art operations and dispatch center.
Lenoir City Utilities Board was formed in 1938, when Lenoir City signed a contract with the fledgling Tennessee Valley Authority to offer TVA-supplied electricity to its residents and businesses. The small electric department had only four employees and 317 customers. Today, LCUB is one of the fastest growing utility providers in the Tennessee Valley area. Among the 154 TVA local power distributors, LCUB is ranked as the 13th largest. The new facilities will help Lenoir City Utilities Board to better serve its 64,866 electric customers—not to mention the thousands of customers that rely on LCUB for water, wastewater and gas.
Recently, Thermocopy representatives Jordan Sykes and Matthew Coleman, a life-long Lenoir City resident, joined Suzan Williams, LCUB Assistant General Manager and Tim Guider, Procurement Manager, for a tour of the new building. The information management experts at Thermocopy helped LCUB determine what systems would help their employees work more efficiently in their new office environment. After developing a custom Information Output Assessment (IOA), office equipment was placed strategically throughout the building.
